  Don't waste your time going here. Took 8 minutes after we were seated to even be acknowledged by our waitress. Then it took 10 minutes for her to bring us our drinks and take our food order. 15 minutes later our food arrives and that's the last time we saw her until she brought us our bill. Every time she spoke to us, she was completely rude and acted like we were interrupting her day. The food was nothing special and over cooked. Definitely won't be returning if we come back up this way. Highly disappointing.

  Hostess and waitstaff were fine. It is a good thing that I like fat because that was about 2/3's of my 14 oz prime rib. The rest was so tough I couldn't hardly cut it. My wife's was about the same. Not worth $21. Worst prime rib ever.

  I've been dining at The Galley for nearly 10 years now, and when I didn't live here, part of our routine of coming to the Straits Area revolved around our customary trip to The Galley. Why? The prime rib and walleye are second to none in the state of Michigan. I often go to late lunch/early dinner between 2-3 p.m. and I can almost always get that 18 oz. cut medium rare, as it is ready to go. There isn't a bad meal on the menu.
  
  The Galley has a full bar, and they pour a nice beverage, as well as craft beer and Michigan wines. I can have my favorite wines from Black Star Farms any time I choose, or any of the other wines they carry from the Leelanau Peninsula. You can really feel at home if you're a Michigan wine drinker.
  
  If it takes the wait staff a moment, please be patient, as it will be worth your while; this isn't a fast food joint and the menu reflects the value proposition. There's value in every bite at The Galley, because it is pure quality, and nobody every complained about that. A fish bone here or there? You're eating fish. Fish have bones. What do you expect. It's just part of the deal. Enjoy the fact that it's real and it's honest, just like the people trying to take care of you at your table.
  
  Dine with confidence. I have for nearly a decade. Slow down and enjoy the Upper Peninsula.
